Brazil’s Secretaria de Prêmios e Apostas (SPA) has issued its first wave of full operational licences to 14 online casino and sports betting operators, marking a historic milestone in the country’s regulated gambling framework. The announcement follows months of review under the Lei 14.790/2023 framework. Bet365, Sportingbet, Betano and KTO are among the confirmed licence holders, while several international operators including BC.Game and Stake remain in the application queue. The SPA confirmed that over 60 additional applications are under active review, with further approvals expected before Q3 2026.
